FAQs

Will my handsets fit in the case?

If you want to be sure your devices will fit in the case before ordering, measure them – the maximum handset dimensions that work with each model of our case are shown in the product range.

How to use your PearPeel™

First…

Line up your devices inside the case so you can see where to attach the patch on the back of each device. If you have a BlackBerry® smartphone and an iPhone® mobile digital device, place the BlackBerry® smartphone on the left side of the open case, and the iPhone® mobile digital device on the right side, with the camera lens and flash for each device aligned with the holes in the case if your case has camera apertures.

Second…

Peel the paper off the back of the self-adhesive patches, and stick one patch on the back of each device, centering the patch vertically and horizontally. Be sure the patches are firmly attached.

Third…

Place the devices inside the case again, aligning the patch on the back of each device with the patch that is sewn into the case. You can use your devices with them both inside the case, but if you want to take a device out of the case to use it separately, just detach it, and when you’re done, re-attach it.

Why does my battery cover sometimes detach when I take my phone out of the case?

On some older devices, the battery cover on the back of the device may detach from the device, and stay attached to the case, when you take the device out of the case. To prevent this, slip your thumb under the self-adhesive hook-and-loop patch on the back of the device when you are detaching it.

Why is Amazon the only way to buy a PearPeel™ case?

We are a very small company. We think that most of our customers will already have Amazon accounts, and ordering and paying through Amazon will therefore be familiar and convenient. For those who don’t already have an account, it’s very easy to set up an Amazon account to enable you to purchase a PearPeel™ product.

Why the PearPeel™ name?

  1. Pear: Brit. /pɛː/ , U.S. /pɛ(ə)r/, n., the edible fruit of the tree Pyrus communis. Goes well with apple and blackberry.
  2. Pear: homonym of “pair”, n., a couple, a set of two.
  3. Peel: Brit. /piːl/, U.S. /pil/, n., a skin, or outer covering.
  4. Peel: v., to remove or separate a thin covering from the outside or surface.

Do I have to stick the self-adhesive patch directly on the back of my device?

If you don’t want the patch on the back of your device, buy a skin or thin case for the device, and put the patch on that instead.

How can I get my PearPeel™ delivered outside the EU?

Delivery is through Fulfilment by Amazon. We can only deliver to addresses in the European Union. If you want a PearPeel™ product delivered internationally outside the EU, you can use a service such as mailboxuk.com, ukaddress.com or my-uk-mail.co.uk. These services provide a United Kingdom address for delivery and arrange international re-delivery.
